Increased sipe density / By increasing the sipe, we enhanced block flexibility and the number of biting edges to grip packed snow. Snow traction is enhanced when the end points (biting edges) of those tiny cuts open a bit as the tread is pushed against the road. All of those tiny open points (biting edges) effectively bite into snow and create additional traction.

Wide lateral grooves / The 3% wider lateral grooves increase the void volume, which improves grip performance in the snow because it grabs more snow.
